Founded in 1984 by Raymond ‘Rocky’ Baker, Carbine Chemicals is a legacy built on a passion for both horse racing and chemistry. What began in a humble back stall at the Melbourne showgrounds has evolved into a thriving equine supplement company. The company’s growth journey led it to its first factory in Keillor in 1990 and, in 2000, to four modern facilities in Altona North, where it continues to operate today. In 2014, Ray Baker, the founder, passed away, leaving the company in the capable hands of his children, with Jensen at the helm. Carrying on his father’s vision, Carbine Chemicals remains a family-owned and family-run business, rooted in hard work and determination. In 2023, Carbine Chemicals launched its own website, making it easier for horse enthusiasts across the country to access their products conveniently.
